Born between 1965 and 1980, Gen X is the most individualistic, independent, and rebellious generation alive today. They launched the explosion of tattoos and body piercings. Instead of dressing up in the bright neon Miami Vice colors like the Baby Boomers did in the eighties, Gen X launched the nineties by dressing down in the dark, earthy Seattle Grunge look. Their cynicism was captured in the Alanis Morrisette song “Isn’t It Ironic?”.
