Generation Y (aka Millennials)
Born between 1981 and 1996, Generation Y is better known as The Millennials. Everything about them is completely opposite of Gen X. They are not fiercely independent; they were the first generation to be so interconnected – largely because of technology. The have what socialists call a “group think mentality”, which has led historians to label them the “We, We, We” generation. They were also the first generation to get participation trophies. As a result, they entered the workforce pre-conditioned to expect to be rewarded for group participation instead of individual achievement.
